Different aspects of Cooperation

Cooperation between Nagasaki University (Japan) and Kazakh National Medical University can be disposed as one of the closest. During the last few years the contact between our Universities becomes stronger: joint programs in the field of medicine and education, programs of students exchange, professional development of staff. The relationship between Japan and Kazakhstan become more strong and friendly as well.

In March, 2011 the terrible tragedy as massive earthquake and ensuing tsunami occurred in Japan. The whole world, including the people of Kazakhstan empathizes to Japan people and tried to make easier pain of their loss. The staff and students of KazNMU not stay aside and send donation to special account “Nagasaki University Donations for the Victims of the Great Earthquake of Eastern Japan”. Money were collected on a voluntary basis from daily wage of staff of KazNMU, and also from voluntary contributions of students and children from orphanage supervised by KazNMU named after S.D.Asfendiyarov. Thus sum of first tranche that was made in April was 1 534 000 tenge, and sum of the second tranche that was made in June was 1 013 121 tenge. During the meetings that were on April 5th and June 17th the Rector of our University Aikan Akanov presented to consul of Japan in the RK Katamoto Masahiro two Certificates on transactions of donation.

On June 29, 2011 from Nagasaki University was received a letter of gratitude for voluntary contributions.
