KazNMU took the 3rd place in the international rating of ARES-2015among the Kazakhstan higher education institutions
Following the results of the international rating of ARES-2015 (Academic Ranking of World Universities – European Standard) AsfendiyarovKazakh National Medical University took the 3rdplace among the Kazakhstan higher education institutions and got one of the highest category A+.
The rating is prepared by European Scientific-Industrial Chamber. The following indicators were considered by drawing up a rating: scientific activity, the international cooperation, a demand of graduates, informatization, level of professional development and the international recognition of the faculty, membership in academies of Sciences, awards, ability to organize interaction between students and future employers.Higher education institutions of the USA, EU countries, Great Britain, Sweden, the Netherlands, the CIS countries take part in a rating. In ten leaders: California Institute of Technology (AAA), Harvard university (AAA), the Oxford university (AAA), Stendfordsky university (AAA), the Cambridge university, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (AAA), Princeton university (AA+), the Californian university to Berkeley (AAA), Imperial college of London (AA+), Yale university (AA+).In Russia: category «АА+» Lomonosov Moscow State University, Мoscow Institute of Physics and Technology, Saint Petersburg State University. No one university among higher education institutions of Armenia, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan which participated in a rating wasn’t included into the category «A +».

The rating is processed automatically, having completely excluded involvement of a human factor. It allows to eliminate defects of the Shanghai rating (the main criterion is a presence of Nobel laureates in higher education institution is) or QS (a casual choice of experts).
The rating has 3 categories of evaluation:
- Category A (AAA, AA+, AА, А+, А): High quality of teaching, scientific activity and demand of graduates employers (High quality performance);
- Category B (BBB+, BBB, BB+, BB, B+, B): Reliable quality of teaching, scientific activity and demand of graduates employers (Good quality performance);
