The main directions, duties and objectives of the department are the registration of letters of invitation for foreign students after admission to the university, visa support and registration, control over the residence of foreign students in the hostel and settlement of conflict situations and disputes, representation and protection of the interests of foreign students in official bodies, clarification of their rights for temporary stay in the Republic of Kazakhstan under the C9 visa category (purpose of arrival-study). The department also deals with the temporary registration of students of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the period of study at KazNMU named after S. D. Asfendiyarov. Compliance with all the norms of the university, as well as monitoring compliance with the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
