The Center of Communicative Skills named after D. Draper is writing to inform about the completion of the course of trainings for the Deputy Heads of all the Faculties of the University. The agenda of the course was “Ways of improving the communication competence of the managing personal of the University” (10.12.2012- 19.12.2012 )


Subject matters for the training events were as follows:

1. Verbal and non-verbal communication developing. Empathy developing;

2. Active oral comprehension technique developing. Feed-back;

3. The developing of the technique of constructive critique. Management and communicating (Personal management);

4. Conflictology;

5. Conflicts and ways out;

6. Emotional indifference. Professional deformation.

7. Emotional control (self controling);

8. “Aggression reducing”. Art-therapy method training;

9. Public speaking art;

10. Talking in public.


The seminar was held by:

I was very much pleased to see that our Deputy Faculty Heads demonstrated the high levels of empathy during the second training events. I had a question “is the problems our students have while they contact with Deputy Faculty Heads? What can I teach them if they have such a high level empathy? ”

But during the next meeting I understand what the problem is. Our charming fall of empathy Deputy Heads are terribly worried about their students and do their best to be Moms and Dads. The conflict is: students don’t need such  parents, they need the assistance of an adult partner and friend. I hope that the listeners could realize this idea during our studies. But this is only the first step to reach our goal.

I should also that I was very much delighted by the listeners’ work at the training event “Art-therapy. Let’s draw aggression”. They because keen on their work and their images, they were open-hearted and sincere; they worked actively, fruitfully, harmoniously. It was very nice to see sincere people who could so easily become small children: they were crawling on the carpet, painted masks with their fingers, created fairy-tales, laughed and discussed their tales so emotionally. Their eyes were shining! It’s an unforgettable memory!

I had a chance to conduct a seminar the problems I had planned to present were “Communication competence”, “Professional deformation of the personality”, “emotional indifference”. But during the work at the seminar, it because clear that the listeners rather possess communicative competence and empathy but it is  necessary for them to get some psychotherapy help as there is high level of anxiety and there are cases to  of sub-depressive and psychosomatic states.

As I see it the training turned to become the chain of psychotherapy classes to work on a lot of problems and situations. It became clear that most participants had “’parents’ attitude”, towards their students.
