Center of Medicine and Public Health (CMPH)– includes the Life Sciences laboratory, is directly subordinate to the B. Atchabarov scientific- research institute of fundamental and applied medicine (B. Atchabarov SRI FAM) of the University, which is directly subordinate to the scientific-technological park of the University.
The main goal of the CMPH is the development and implementation of innovative approaches in the field of medicine and public health through comprehensive scientific research, educational programs and the practical application of achievements in preclinical and clinical practice to improve the quality and accessibility of medical care.

• Teaching students to acquire basic practical skills in the conditions of experimental work and practical activities of a doctor;
• Organizing training and consulting for young scientists and students on conducting experimental research in medicine;
• Development, scientific justification, and implementation of innovative technologies in experimental conditions;
• Attracting students to scientific research;
• Participation of Center employees in the implementation of research projects at the republican and international levels;
• Conducting fundamental and applied research in the field of medicine and public health. Development of new methods for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases;
• Development of international and interdisciplinary cooperation in the field of medicine and public health. Participation in the creation and implementation of state and regional healthcare programs;
• Creating conditions for conducting student, master’s, and doctoral research, students mastering the latest laboratory methods used in science and clinic on the basis of the Life Sciences laboratory;
• Formation of operational and clinical skills in students;
• Organization on the basis of the Center for Medical and Health Sciences of the educational process related to practical skills implemented by departments and other educational divisions of the University;
• Practicing surgical procedures and skills using special equipment and laboratory animals;
• Providing evidence-based information about public health, new medical technologies, and treatments to the general public;
• Technical support for the implementation of fundamental and applied tasks of scientific and technical projects of the GMS1 departments, as well as their collaborators based on the Life Sciences laboratory.
