Center of Medicine and Public Health (CMPH)is a structural subdivision of the University, directly subordinate to the B.A. Atchabarov Research Institute of Fundamental and Applied Medicine, which, in turn, is subordinate to the University’s Science and Technology Park. The Life Sciences Laboratory operates as part of the Center.

The main objective of the Center is to develop and implement innovative approaches in the field of medicine and public health. The Center carries out comprehensive scientific research, implements educational programs and promotes the practical application of modern achievements in preclinical and clinical medicine in order to improve the quality and accessibility of medical care.

• Teaching students basic practical skills through experimental and clinical training.
• Consulting and training young scientists and students on issues of conducting experimental research in medicine.
• Development, scientific justification and implementation of innovative technologies in experimental conditions.
• Involvement of students in scientific research activities.
• Participation in the implementation of scientific projects at the national and international levels.
• Conducting fundamental and applied research in the field of medicine and public health, including the development of new methods of diagnosis, treatment and prevention of diseases.
• Development of international and interdisciplinary cooperation, participation in the creation and implementation of state and regional programs in the field of healthcare.
• Creating conditions for the performance of scientific work by students, master’s degree students and doctoral students, including the development of modern laboratory methods based on the Life Sciences laboratory.
• To develop operational and clinical skills in students.
• Organization of the educational process related to the development of practical skills, in cooperation with departments and other educational units of the University.
• Practicing surgical manipulations on special equipment and laboratory animals.
• Information support on public health issues, modern medical technologies and treatment methods for a wide audience.
• Technical support for fundamental and applied research of scientific and technical projects of the departments of School of General Medicine № 1 and their partners based on the Life Sciences laboratory.
