Muminov Talgat Ashirovich – Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan (NAS RK), Head of the Department of Phthisiopulmonology at the S.D. Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University. Born in 1953, he graduated from the Almaty State Medical Institute in 1976. A specialist in phthisiology, pulmonology, infectious diseases, molecular biology, human genetics, healthcare organization, and medical education.
He has authored over 280 scientific works, including 30 monographs and textbooks. He has supervised the training of 10 doctors of sciences and 25 candidates of sciences.
Professor Muminov is a prominent scientist and organizer. He is a full member of the National Academy of Sciences, a foreign member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, an academician of the Academy of Sciences of the Higher School of Kazakhstan, the Hamburg Academy of Medicine and Prevention, and the Polish Medical Academy. He is a member of the International Union Against Tuberculosis and Lung Diseases, the European Respiratory Society, and the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology. He is the President of the Association of Phthisiologists of Kazakhstan, the President of the Academy of Clinical and Fundamental Medicine, and the President of the Union of Professional Medical Associations “Kazakh Medical Assembly.” He is also the founder of the public initiative “Save Chokan!”
His main clinical, scientific, and pedagogical interests include tuberculosis, AIDS, infectious diseases, biochemistry, immunology, and genetics of infectious processes, as well as respiratory and molecular medicine.

Professor Muminov has authored over 280 scientific publications, including 30 monographs and textbooks and three medical terminology dictionaries. He has authored four national scientific reports on phthisiology (2005-2011) and pulmonology (2005-2011). Thousands of medical students in Kazakhstan study using his textbooks.

Scientific and Practical Projects
Professor Muminov has developed scientifically based approaches to addressing tuberculosis in Kazakhstan during the transition period. He has led and participated in 15 scientific projects with a total funding exceeding $10 million. He established the University Professor’s Clinic at the National University and a modern microbiological laboratory, attracting private investments totaling €2 million.
Professor Muminov has founded a school of phthisiologists (10 doctors of sciences and 25 candidates of sciences). He delivers lectures, consults patients, and conducts seminars in Kazakh, Russian, and English. His textbooks are used by students in six medical universities across the country.
Awards
He has been awarded the Albert Schweitzer Gold Medal for Humanism and Contributions to Medical Science (Polish Medical Academy, 1998). He holds the titles of “Outstanding Healthcare Worker of Kazakhstan,” “Honored Worker of Education,” and the Order of “Kurmet.” He has received the Golden Stethoscope for outstanding achievements in clinical medicine.
Professor Muminov is an honorary professor of four medical universities in Kazakhstan. For his contributions to tuberculosis research, he was awarded Kazakhstan’s highest independent prize “Tarlan” (“Master”).

Vyacheslav Notanovich Lokshin – Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan (NAS RK) under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, President of the Kazakhstan Association of Reproductive Medicine, General Director of the International Clinical Center for Reproductology “PERSONA,” President of the International Academy of Reproductology, Chief Freelance Reproductologist of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and a member of the National Council on Science and New Technologies under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Education and Career
Born on November 19, 1958, in Alma-Ata, he graduated with a gold medal from Secondary School No. 35 in Almaty in 1976. In 1982, he graduated with honors from the Faculty of General Medicine at the Almaty State Medical Institute (AGMI), specializing in general medicine. His total experience in healthcare exceeds 40 years.
From 1983 to 1996, he worked at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of the Faculty of General Medicine at AGMI as an assistant professor and, since 1995, as an associate professor. From 1996 to 2007, he served as the Deputy Director for Scientific Work at the Almaty City Center for Human Reproduction. Since 2000, he has been the Director of the “ECO Center” LLP.
Since 2008, he has been the Rector of the Institute of Reproductive Medicine. Since 2016, he has led the International Clinical Center for Reproductology “PERSONA” in Almaty and has been the President of the International Academy of Reproductology.
Scientific Achievements
In 1989, he defended his Candidate of Medical Sciences dissertation at the Omsk State Medical Institute on the topic: “Formation of Risk Groups for the Development of Large Fetuses and the Development of Its Prevention Methods.”
In 2005, he defended his Doctor of Medical Sciences dissertation at the Mechnikov Saint Petersburg State Medical Academy of the Federal Agency for Healthcare and Social Development of the Russian Federation on the topic:
“Scientific Justification of Modern Organizational Forms for Improving Women’s Reproductive Health (Based on Materials from the Republic of Kazakhstan)” in the fields of Public Health and Healthcare (14.00.33) and Obstetrics and Gynecology (14.00.01).
Dr. Lokshin’s dissertation, nostrified in Kazakhstan, remains the first and only study in the field of reproductive medicine in the country.
In 2010, he was awarded the title of Professor. He has been an Academician of the Russian Academy of Medical and Technical Sciences since 2007.
Contributions to Science and Education

He participated in the development of regulatory documents in reproductive medicine and has been the President of the Annual International Congresses of the Kazakhstan Association of Reproductive Medicine since 2008.
Editorial and Organizational Work
He was a member of the Collegium of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan (2007-2014), a member of the Coordination Council on Healthcare under the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan (2005-2007), and a member of the Public Council of the Ministry of Health (2017-2020).
Additionally, he served as a Board Member of the Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University, the Scientific Center for Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Perinatology (2018-2021), and the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the S.Z. Kairbekova National Scientific Center for Health Development.
Since 2024, he has been a member of the National Council on Science and Technology under the President of Kazakhstan.

Kaidarova Dilyara Radikovna – Doctor of Medical Sciences, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, First Vice-Rector of S.D. Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University, President of the Association of Oncologists of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Head of the Department of Oncology at JSC “Kazakh National Medical University named after S.D. Asfendiyarov.”
In 1990, she graduated from the Almaty State Medical Institute named after S.D. Asfendiyarov with a degree in General Medicine. In 1992, she completed a clinical residency in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at AGMI. In 2005, she specialized in the State Program for Healthcare Management, Economics, and Organization of Healthcare in the USA. In 2010, she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Alatau University in Kazakhstan.
In 2004, she defended her Candidate of Medical Sciences dissertation in Oncology and Obstetrics-Gynecology on the topic: “Gonadotropin-Releasing Hormone Agonists in the Comprehensive Treatment of Uterine Fibroids and Atypical Endometrial Hyperplasia.” In 2010, she defended her Doctor of Medical Sciences dissertation in Oncology on the topic: “Clinical and Pathogenetic Factors in the Selection of Treatment Strategies for Hyperplastic Processes and Endometrial Cancer.”
She began her professional career in 1992 at the City Oncology Dispensary of Almaty as a physician in the Oncogynecology Department. From 1999 to 2004, she served as Head of the Gynecomammology Department at the same institution. From 2002 to 2016, she worked as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Oncology at KazNMU, and since 2016, she has been the Head of the Department of Oncology at the same university.
From 2004 to 2006, she was Deputy Chief Physician for Medical Affairs at the City Oncology Dispensary of Almaty. From 2006 to 2016, she served as Chief Physician of the Almaty Oncology Center and held the highest medical category. From 2016 to 2025, she was Chairperson of the Board of JSC “Kazakh Research Institute of Oncology and Radiology”, and since 2025, she has been First Vice-Rector of KazNMU.

Yekaterina Koloskova is an Associate Professor at the Department of Microbiology and Virology.
In 2011, she graduated from the Pediatric Faculty of Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University. In 2011–2012, she completed an internship in the specialty «Pediatrics» at Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University. In 2012–2014, she undertook residency training at Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University in the specialty «Infectious Diseases, including Pediatric Infectious Diseases». From 2014 to 2017, she was a PhD doctoral student at the Department of Microbiology, Virology and Immunology of Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University.
Since 2014 and up to the present, she has been working as a lecturer at the Department of Microbiology and Virology of the NJSC «Asfendiyarov National Medical University». She is responsible for the research activities of the department.
In 2016, she completed an internship in «Molecular Epidemiology» at the Atomic Bomb Disease Institute, Nagasaki University School of Medicine, Japan.
In 2018, she defended her PhD thesis in Medicine on the topic: «Characteristics of Streptococcus pneumoniae Strains Circulating in Selected Regions of the Republic of Kazakhstan Among Patients and Carriers of Pneumococcal Infection».

She trained at the National Scientific Center of Phthisiopulmonology in the field of «Molecular Diagnostic Methods for Tuberculosis and MDR/XDR-TB».
In 2023, she completed training in the preparation of a business plan, financial model and project presentation for commercialization of science into business at KazNMU.
In 2024, she underwent international training on technologies for the identification of respiratory pathogens at the National Institute for Pathogen Biology, Beijing, PRC, and completed advanced training in «Microscopy Methods in the Diagnosis of Reproductive Tract Infections» in Saint Petersburg, Russia.
She is a co-author of methodological recommendations on laboratory diagnosis of pneumococcal infection at the university level; on laboratory diagnosis of meningococcal infection and other purulent meningitides; and on bacteriological methods for detecting the pathogens of typhoid fever, paratyphoid fever and other salmonelloses, developed jointly with the branch «Scientific and Practical Center for Sanitary and Epidemiological Expertise and Monitoring» of the RSE on REM «National Center of Public Health» of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan. She is also a co-author of recommendations and implementation acts on laboratory and molecular-genetic diagnosis of pneumococcal infection and serotyping of its pathogens. She is the compiler of a patient education triplet (leaflet series) on the prevention of pneumococcal infection for parents.
She is the author of the Master’s degree Work Curriculum in the specialty «Biomedicine» of the National Medical University JSC and a co-developer of the educational programs «Methodology of Scientific Research: From Research Project to Scientific Publication» and «Modern Methods for the Study of Infectious Disease Pathogens».
From 2020 to 2023, she was Chair of the Quality Assurance Commission of the School of General Medicine–1. Since 2021, she has been Deputy Chair of the Scientific Committee «Life Sciences».
She is a member of the independent expert commission for the selection of candidates for overseas training under the «Bolashak» program. She is a member of working groups on reducing teaching load for academic staff, on monitoring the fulfillment of teaching load at the department for the 2021–2022 academic year, and a member of the working group for preparation for institutional accreditation (2023) and specialized accreditation of educational programs (2024). From 2021 to 2023, she was a participant in the ERASMUS SPRING project and a senior researcher in intramural projects: «Characteristics of Clinical and Epidemiological Features of Infections Caused by COVID-19 in the Adult and Pediatric Population of Almaty (Retrospective Study)» and «Health Assessment of Individuals Recovering from COVID-19 Infection».
Since 2024, she has been the scientific supervisor of the grant project «Assessment of the Pathogenic Potential of Clinical Fungal Strains Isolated from Individuals Recovering from COVID-19».
She is the author of 22 articles, including methodological recommendations, and a speaker at international scientific and practical conferences. She serves as a reviewer for the international journal «BioMed Research International» (Scopus, CiteScore 40, Q3), «Ars Pharmaceutica» (since 2023) and «Frontiers in Microbiology» (since 2023).
She has appeared in mass media on issues of germophobia and the human normal microbiota (Tengrinews.kz), and on the structure, transmission, treatment and prevention of coronavirus infection (Kazinform.kz, Channel 31, KTK, Channel «Almaty»). She took part in a podcast on the YouTube channel «Айва» («Ayva») on long-term complications of COVID-19.
