Description : Having studied the History of Kazakhstan from ancient times to the present day, the graduate will be able to engage in medical activities, taking into account the historical experience of the development of medicine in Kazakhstan, creatively using it in the development of Kazakhstani medical science, which in turn will make Kazakhstani contribution to world medical science. A graduate must carry out his professional activities as a doctor, taking into account the laws adopted in society, legal acts and ethical standards of modern Kazakhstan in the context of world history.

Description: Acquisition and demonstration in practice of the principles of academic integrity and anti-corruption culture in the process of training and professional activity of a doctor; knowledge of the limits of legal liability for violation of the rules of academic integrity. Demonstration of the skill of owning a complex of emergency medical measures carried out to a suddenly ill (injured) at the scene. Application of knowledge in the field of medical ecology for public health protection and disease prevention.

Description: In the course of studying the discipline, students acquire knowledge that contributes to the practical mastery of the basics of international medical terminology, scientific concepts and the three main subsystems of medical terminology in Latin – anatomical, pharmaceutical (with a common recipe) and clinical. The acquired knowledge will allow graduates to consciously and competently use Latin terminology in further practical or scientific activities.

Description: Formation of fundamental biomedical knowledge about processes of interconversion of substances, changes in their structure and properties; different types of balance and homeostasis. The learner will be able to apply the laws of chemistry to characterize and describe biochemical processes occurring in the body, explain the relationship between the structure, properties and biological activity of substances, use calculations and physico-chemical methods necessary in medical practice (osmometry, electrophoresis, dialysis, chromatography).

Description: Formation of fundamental biomedical knowledge about the biophysical properties of the cell; principles of operation of modern medical devices and physical factors of human impact used in medicine (ECG, EEG, spirography, viscometry, rheography, introscopy, UHF, electrophoresis). The graduate will be able to apply knowledge in the process of further education and medical practice; interpret the results of laboratory, functional research methods, demonstrate the ability to work in a team.

Description: The formation of knowledge about the mechanisms of implementation of hereditary information, the relationship between the structure of genes and the functions of biomolecules involved in the transmission of hereditary information, as well as the processes of growth, division, repair, tumor transformation and cell death, regulation of gene expression, necessary for understanding normal life processes, as well as disorders that cause mutations as the cause of hereditary diseases.

Description: Formation of knowledge about the laws of pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics of drugs; demonstration of the skill of rational choice of drugs in a specific clinical situation, taking into account the patient`s age, physiological and pathological conditions; the possibility of adverse reactions and drug interactions when used together; prescribing prescriptions with pharmacological analysis and calculation of single doses; searching and analyzing information according to the principles of evidence-based medicine.

Description: The graduate will have a new philosophy of development of managerial thought and best practices, basic concepts of categories, concepts of personality in various areas of psychology, interpersonal relationships in a group and a team. Students study the leading concepts of personality development and form judgments about personal and environmental factors that negatively affect the psyche, ways to preserve a person`s mental health.

Description: Development of professional linguistic competence of students in the use of international terminology; reading, listening, speaking and writing skills for rational use in practical activities and communication in the global space. Description: The formation of students` knowledge and skills in the prevention and control of infections associated with the provision of medical care, including epidemiological surveillance and standard precautions aimed at improving the safety of patients and medical workers and improving the quality of medical care at the outpatient and inpatient levels, taking into account the main regulatory legal documents on epidemiological aspects and infection prevention.

Description: The practice involves familiarizing students with the structure of healthcare organizations. The student gains experience working as a junior staff (nursery): cleaning premises in accordance with sanitary standards, caring for patients (changing linen and clothes, serving, cleaning the vessel), cleaning bedside tables for bedridden patients, washing pharmaceutical utensils. Develops ethics and deontology skills, becomes familiar with the sanitary and epidemiological regime.

Description: In the process of practicing as a medical assistant, students improve the knowledge, skills and abilities acquired in the process of studying clinical disciplines in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of internal organs and acute surgical and obstetric-gynecological pathology of adults and children, the course of physiological pregnancy and childbirth, and get acquainted with the specifics of a doctor’s professional activity and the basics of healthcare organization.

Description: In the process of practicing as an assistant to a family doctor, students consolidate and improve professional knowledge, skills and abilities acquired in the process of studying the discipline “Fundamentals of Family Medicine”, get acquainted with the specifics of the professional activity of a doctor at the level of PHC structures – primary health care for the population, master principles of professional ethics, communication, effective use of information technology and teamwork.
