Tasks of the Directorate of Legal Support:
- clarification of current legislation
- participation in the preparation of draft orders, instructions, decisions, agreements and other documents of a legal nature
- providing legal support for the University’s activities
- legal expertise of regulations, instructions and other internal regulatory documents prepared by structural units of the University
- providing legal assistance to the University units, advising University employees on legal issues
- participation together with other units of the University in the development and implementation of measures to strengthen contractual, financial and labor discipline
- informing, explaining within the competence of the University employees about the current legislation
- organization of work on the study by officials of normative legal acts related to their activities
- harmonization of regulations of structural subdivisions and job descriptions of the University employees
Main activities and functions of the Legal Support Directorate:
- legal examination of draft orders, agreements, instructions, letters and other documents of legal nature for compliance with the requirements of the legislation, giving opinions on the legal procedure of authorization
- providing, upon request, clarifications on legal issues and sending information materials on current legislation, practice of its application to interested parties, consultations of University employees on legal issues
- preparation of materials for the University management on current legislation
- legal registration of materials prepared by the relevant services (audit, accounting and financial, etc.) on embezzlement, mercenary abuse, shortages and other offenses for their transfer to investigative and judicial authorities
- participation in the development of legal documents and local acts of the University, in the development and conclusion of the collective agreement, in the implementation of measures to strengthen labor discipline
- other functions not reflected in this document, but falling within the area of competence of the Legal Support Directorate and defined by internal regulatory documents of the University
