On December 1, 2025, the trade union committee together with the administration of the S. D. Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University held a general meeting, during which the new Collective Agreement between the Employer and the workforce for 2026–2030 was unanimously approved.
The previous Collective Agreement had received high recognition among educational institutions in Central Asia and served as the foundation for developing the updated version. Its best provisions were preserved, while several sections were revised to meet modern requirements.
The new agreement includes changes and additions aimed at strengthening the social protection of employees. In particular, measures related to occupational safety have been clarified, provisions supporting young specialists and employees with special needs have been expanded, and mechanisms of social partnership have been further detailed. The wording related to the rights and obligations of the parties has also been updated in accordance with current legislation and regulatory standards.
During the discussion, participants emphasized the constructive nature of the work carried out to update the agreement, which involved close cooperation between the trade union committee, university administration, and staff from various departments. Such an approach made it possible to reflect the real needs of employees and ensure transparency throughout the process.
