The Scientific Laboratory “Shared Use Center” (hereinafter referred to as SUC) operates under the direct supervision of the B.A. Atchabarov Research Institute of Fundamental and Applied Medicine (hereinafter referred to as RIFPM), which, in turn, is under the direct supervision of the University’s Science and Technology Park.
The primary goal of SUC is to serve as an integral part of the laboratory infrastructure, providing opportunities for advanced biomedical research. Our team actively employs cutting-edge methodologies and technologies to achieve outstanding results in molecular genetics, contributing to the advancement of scientific knowledge and the development of medicine.
Objectives of SUC:
- Provision of a modern laboratory technology park with necessary resources.
- Implementation of scientific programs and projects in high-throughput DNA typing, transcriptional profiling of tissues and cell cultures, and the discovery of novel biomarkers for the diagnosis and prognosis of genetically determined diseases.
- Participation in the educational process for university students.
- Engagement of students, master’s students, doctoral students, and young researchers in scientific research.
- Creating conditions for the commercialization of scientific and/or technological research results to attract investments in high-tech sectors and practical healthcare.
- Ensuring compliance with management system requirements, anti-corruption policies, internal regulatory documents, and the legislative acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan regarding anti-corruption measures.
Functions of SUC:
- Participation in scientific research activities.
- Development and improvement of research methodologies, programs, regulations, and technological documents.
- Providing methodological and consulting support to researchers, master’s students, doctoral students, and young scientists in conducting research.
- Ensuring the quality and reliability of research results in accordance with approved assignments and programs.
- Collection, storage, and systematization of information on completed and ongoing scientific research, in compliance with intellectual property rights, state, and commercial secrecy protection laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
- Enhancing the qualifications of laboratory personnel and training specialists in relevant fields.
- Informing university management about corruption issues, conflict of interest resolution policies, corruption risks, incidents, and compliance with other internal anti-corruption regulations.
- Material and technical support for educational and scientific processes.
- Performing additional functions as defined by applicable legislation, internal regulatory documents, and organizational mandates related to the laboratory’s objectives.
- Distributing laboratory functions among laboratory personnel.
- Establishing procedures for interaction between the laboratory and other university departments, as defined by internal regulatory documents and administrative orders of the university administration.
