As part of the systematic work aimed at developing the professional skills of students and graduates, the Career and Employment Center conducted a series of online trainings designed to enhance the competitiveness of young specialists in the labor market.

The trainings were held in the form of ZOOM sessions, allowing wide participation, including senior-year students, interns, and residents.
More than 817 participants took part in the sessions.

Main Training Topics

1. Career Interview Preparation

Participants received practical guidance on:

  • the structure and stages of a professional interview;
  • effective behavior and self-presentation strategies;
  • common employer questions in the medical field;
  • mistakes to avoid during an interview.

Interactive case analyses and mini role-play interviews were conducted.

2. Preparation of a Professional CV/Resume

Speakers provided detailed explanations on how to create a modern and informative resume:

  • mandatory CV sections for medical professionals;
  • proper formatting of practice, internships, and volunteer experience;
  • articulating competencies and professional skills;
  • using relevant keywords for HR screening systems.

Participants were given templates and examples of successful resumes.

3. Writing a Motivation (Cover) Letter

Special attention was given to:

  • the structure of the letter;
  • presenting motivation effectively;
  • adapting the letter for medical institutions;
  • creating a professional first impression.

Graduates learned to prepare strong cover letters that complement the CV and improve employment prospects.

Each participant had the opportunity to:

  • ask questions to experts;
  • receive personalized CV recommendations;
  • submit their motivation letter for review by Career Center specialists.

Expected Outcomes

The provided trainings contribute to:

  • increasing the professional readiness of graduates;
  • enhancing self-presentation skills;
  • facilitating employment in medical organizations in Kazakhstan and abroad.
