In order to improve the educational process and ensure the implementation of the State General Education Standards of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, on September 18, 1995, a Testing Center was opened at the Kazakh State Medical University.
Testing center is a structural unit of the Kazakh National Medical University, operating in accordance with the Charter of the University. Currently, the Testing Center is part of the Department of Academic Affairs.
Today, the Testing Center area is 720 m2. The testing center has 192 seats with personal computers.
In order to monitor students’ knowledge, computer-based testing and a written electronic exam are conducted.
Testing is carried out in the Sirius AIS program and the Hero Study Space platform, a written electronic exam on the written work portal based on the Moodle platform. During offline exams, regular video surveillance is carried out at the Testing Center; if the exam is conducted online, proctoring systems are used.

Implementation and administration of the educational process – within the framework of procedures for assessing students’ knowledge – using the method of computer testing and written-electronic examination in order to improve its quality and efficiency, as well as transparency

• Coordinate the work of departments, CEP on the formation of databases of test and written-electronic forms of monitoring students’ knowledge in systems;
• Ensuring a unified software and hardware approach to the processes of development and application of test materials based on modern computer technologies;
• Formation of technical standards for the University’s control tools for test and written-electronic forms of knowledge control.

• Conducting exams in the form of computer testing and written and electronic forms of control in systems (assigning exams to students in accordance with the approved schedule, generating reporting forms based on the exam results);
• Organizing the formation of a database of test tasks in the system (conducting technical examination of test tasks, checking the correctness of the database, training teaching staff, etc.);
• Software and hardware support for midterm knowledge control, intermediate and final certification of students in the form of computer testing and written and electronic form;
• Development of proposals for further improvement of the testing procedure and written-electronic examination at the University.
