Frequently asked questions

Applicants for the following educational programs must take the exam at any medical university in Kazakhstan:

  • B084 – Nursing
  • BM086 – Medicine
  • BM087 – Dentistry
  • BM088 – Pediatrics
  • BM089 – Medical and Preventive Care

Exam period: June 20 – August 20.

Instructions and a registration link for the psychometric test are available on the KazNMU website under the “Bachelor’s Degree” section.

The psychometric test is assessed on a “PASS” or “FAIL” basis. Upon completion, candidates receive an Extract from the Admission Register, which can be submitted to any medical university, regardless of the exam location.

Application period: July 13 – July 20.

Applicants who score the following minimum points in the Unified National Testing (UNT) are eligible:

  • National universities – at least 65 points.
  • Healthcare education programs – at least 70 points.
    • History of Kazakhstan and specialized subjects: at least 5 points.
    • Mathematical Literacy and Reading Literacy: at least 3 points.
  1. Educational document (certificate of secondary, technical, or post-secondary education + original transcript).
  2. Identity document (2 copies).
  3. Medical certificate (Form 075/u) and fluorography image.
  4. UNT certificate.
  5. Extract from the psychometric exam results (for applicants to healthcare-related programs).

  • Nursing
  • Pharmacy
  • Individuals with secondary education who have completed compulsory military service can apply for paid education within two years after service completion, based on an interview.
  • Individuals with technical, post-secondary, or higher education who have completed military service can apply for shortened study programs within two years after service completion.
Yes, discounts are granted by a special commission based on different categories.

Yes, you can submit a request for a payment deferral, specifying the reason.

Graduates may be exempted from mandatory work placement by a special commission if they belong to the following categories:

  1. No vacancies in the locality of residence, work, or spouse’s service.
  2. Persons with disabilities (Group 1 or 2).
  3. Those admitted to residency studies under a state educational order.
  4. Pregnant women and single parents raising children under 3 years old.

Dormitory places are allocated based on the “Regulations on Dormitory Placement.” Applications must be submitted through the university’s online platform (AIS Sirius/Hero). The regulation is available on the official university website.

 

What are the dormitory fees? Can I pay monthly?

  • Dormitory No. 1, 2 – 13,000 KZT/month
  • Dormitory No. 3, 4, 5 – 15,000 KZT/month
  • Dormitory No. 6, 7 – 25,000 KZT/month
  • Dormitory No. 8 – 19,000 KZT/month

Payment: Full annual payment as per the rental agreement.
