Center for Support and Engagement with Minority Groups
In order to foster an inclusive and safe educational environment, the University operates the Center for Support and Engagement with Minority Groups. The Center carries out activities aimed at ensuring equal opportunities for all students regardless of their social status, health conditions, cultural background, or other individual characteristics.

The Psychological Support Center provides advisory and psychological assistance to students and facilitates their successful adaptation to the educational process and student life. The Center’s activities are aimed at maintaining students’ psychological well-being, developing effective communication skills, and strengthening intercultural dialogue and mutual respect within the multinational university community.
The Center includes a Student Ombudsperson who ensures the protection of students’ rights and legitimate interests. The Ombudsperson reviews student appeals related to the organization of the educational process, study and living conditions, interpersonal conflicts, as well as potential cases of discrimination. The Ombudsperson’s activities are aimed at ensuring fair, transparent, and respectful treatment of all students.
At the beginning of each academic year, the Department for Student Development and Support develops and implements a social and educational work plan that includes adaptation programs for undergraduate students, particularly first-year students, including international students. Adaptation activities are designed to familiarize students with the university’s academic environment, internal regulations, student infrastructure, and available support services.

The Department for Student Development and Support regularly organizes educational and awareness-raising activities aimed at developing intercultural communication and fostering a culture of mutual respect, tolerance, and non-discrimination within the student community. These activities include lectures, seminars, training sessions, and discussion platforms with the participation of specialists and representatives of the academic community.

The University regularly organizes cultural and awareness events aimed at promoting intercultural dialogue and strengthening an atmosphere of mutual respect within the student community. These events include national culture days, thematic festivals, student forums, creative competitions, and dialogue platforms with the participation of students from different regions of Kazakhstan and other countries.
Within this framework, regular surveys are conducted among university students to assess their level of satisfaction with the educational process, living conditions in student dormitories, accessibility of social and academic support, as well as to identify potential corruption risks and other issues. The results of the surveys and the analysis of student appeals are used to prepare analytical reports and develop recommendations for improving the educational and social environment of the University.

As part of their activities, the Ombudsperson provides consultations to students on the observance of their rights and responsibilities, assists in resolving disputes between participants of the educational process, and performs a mediation function. This contributes to the constructive resolution of emerging issues, strengthening trust, and maintaining a positive and safe educational environment.
