The Department of Quality Assurance
The Department of Quality Assurance is a structural division of the University directly subordinated to the Head of the Department of Academic Affairs of the University.
The main goals of the Department of Quality Assurance: organization and implementation of procedures for internal and external quality assurance of educational activities, organization of work on the development/opening/closing of educational programs, study of market needs for the opening or liquidation of educational programs; qualitative analysis of questionnaires, formation of a strategic plan for the development and improvement of educational programs, methods of teaching disciplines; integration and continuous pedagogical development of teaching staff.
Functions of the Department of Quality Assurance: ensuring the internal quality of educational activities; organizing work on compliance with the principles of academic integrity and developing recommendations for improving this process; conducting analysis and generalizations on the opening of new educational programs; studying the market needs for opening or eliminating educational programs; organizing work on the development of new educational programs, including joint ones; conducting feedback from students, teaching staff, in charge of improving the educational programs; organizing the annual rating of educational programs; organization of accreditation of educational programs; organization and conducting training events (seminars, trainings, master classes, conferences, symposiums, round tables, courses, internships, etc.) for the teaching and administrative staff of the University, as well as external specialists in pedagogical and educational technologies, communication skills, information educational technologies, management and other competencies, according to the “Competence Model of the KazNMU teacher”.

- Planning and General management of the Department;
- Planning, organization and analysis of world’s experience in the field of quality assurance systems of higher education, development of proposals for their implementation;
- Organization and control to ensure the relevance of internal regulatory documents of the educational process in accordance with the amended legal documents that determine the need to develop and adjust internal regulatory documents;
- Organization of the development and implementation of an internal quality assurance system in accordance with the requirements of university standards and definition of the procedure and principles for evaluating the quality of educational activities by participants in the process;
- Coordination and monitoring of the activities of the University’s structural divisions to ensure the quality of education;
- Organization and control of the introduction and use of innovative pedagogical technologies at the University departments;
- Organizing, conducting and control of the development of pedagogical competence, advanced training courses on pedagogical skills of teaching staff;
- Coordination of the process of institutional and specialized accreditation, control over the formation of reporting documents;
- Defining the job responsibilities of employees, creating conditions for improving their professional skills, encouraging and stimulating the creative initiative of employees.

- Development of the University’s plan for accreditation of educational programs;
- Coordination of the process of institutional and specialized accreditation, control over the formation of reporting documents;
- Development and approval of technical tasks, formation of a budget request for accreditation services purchase, conclusion of contracts for accreditation;
- Ensuring interaction between the University and accreditation agencies on external evaluation issues, organizing visits of experts from accreditation agencies;
- Providing consulting and methodological assistance to structural divisions on the development of the internal quality assurance system, implementation of regulatory documentation and accreditation;
