Hematology in the hospital

The discipline forms knowledge on the organization of inpatient care for patients with diseases of the blood, bone marrow, and hemostasis system, within the framework of the legal legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan; skills in diagnostics, interpretation of research results, treatment with evidence-based medicine; interaction with the patient to determine indications and conduct bone marrow aspiration / trepanobiopsy; actively participating in all forms of professional development.

Laboratory diagnostics in hematology

Number of credits-6

The discipline builds knowledge and skills in laboratory diagnostics, cytomorphological, histological methods of peripheral blood and bone marrow research, allowing timely and accurate diagnosis and monitoring of the effectiveness of treatment of patients, using international databases, working and participating in discussions within interprofessional teams.

Transfusiology in hematology

The discipline forms knowledge and skills on the organization within the legal framework of the Republic of Kazakhstan and conducting transfusion care for patients with blood diseases, prevention of complications in hemocomponent therapy, analysis of the causes of posttransfusion reactions and measures to prevent them, based on data from international literature.

Highly specialized care in hematology

The discipline develops knowledge of highly specialized technologies in the treatment of blood and bone marrow diseases (modes of preparing patients for bone marrow transplantation, prevention and treatment of post-transplant complications), uses RCT data, current recommendations of professional communities, evidence-based medicine and a critical approach to working with literature.

Intensive care in hematology

Number of credits-6

Type of control-exam

Diagnostics and therapy of life-threatening conditions in blood and bone marrow diseases. Solving hematological issues in various disorders of hematopoiesis, blood clotting systems that require intensive therapy and replacement transfusions of blood components in resuscitation patients with various diseases, interacting with the patient and members of interprofessional teams.

Outpatient Hematology

The discipline forms knowledge on the organization of outpatient care for patients with diseases of the hematopoietic system, acting within the legal and organizational framework of the healthcare system of the Republic of Kazakhstan; skills in early diagnosis, long-term monitoring, prevention of complications and rehabilitation, interacting with the patient and their environment for effective and safe treatment, taking into account international experience and evidence-based medicine.
