When studying this discipline, attention is paid to the issues of correction of early anemia, management of children with BPD and retinopathy, outpatient management of newborns after discharge from the nursing departments of premature babies, effectively interacting with the patient, his environment. An opportunity will be provided to analyze the morbidity of children born with EBMT in the follow-up.

The discipline studies the principles of diagnosis, treatment and prevention of neurological diseases of newborns occurring in the perinatal period and will help to identify children at risk of 4central nervous system damage, study the clinical features and management of children with severe central nervous system damage, conduct an analysis of follow-up, taking into account international experience and evidence medicine of rare pathologies of the central nervous system.

The program covers all surgical diseases that a neonatologist will be able to meet in his practice and will be able to conduct differential diagnostics, will know the tactics of management in a maternity hospital, indications for emergency transfer to a specialized surgical hospital, taking into account international experience and evidence-based medicine.

The discipline forms knowledge, skills on the organization of neonatal services within the framework of the legal legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, allows to improve knowledge on issues of etiopathogenesis, differential diagnosis, treatment, taking into account international experience and evidence-based medicine; prevention of physiological and pathological conditions of the neonatal period, interacting with the patient, his environment, actively participating in all forms of professional development.

When studying this discipline, special attention is paid to the organization within the framework of the legal legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the provision of primary resuscitation of newborns and the features of resuscitation of children with very low and extremely low body weight, with the acquisition of practical skills by the method of working out resuscitation algorithms, taking into account international experience and evidence-based medicine.
