The discipline forms knowledge of the issues of medical and social expertise — determining the degree of loss of professional ability to work, developing and correcting a rehabilitation program for a disabled person, including determining the types, forms, terms and volumes of rehabilitation measures, acting within the legal and organizational field of the healthcare system of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The discipline helps to study the effect of diseases of internal organs and the musculoskeletal system on the state of the nervous system. Forms skills of differential diagnosis and selection of optimal therapy, using the principles of evidence-based medicine and a critical approach to working with literature.
