Training at the summer school within the framework of the Erasmus+ project «BERNICA.»

To update and modernize educational modules in the master’s program in Public Health and Medical Prevention from June 25 to July 6 in Cholpon-Ata (Kyrgyz Republic), master classes and training sessions were conducted to enhance qualifications in the fields of dietetics, nutrition, and new educational technologies. The summer school was organized by the International Higher School of Medicine with the participation of leading experts from Istanbul Medipol University (Turkey) and the University of Applied Sciences in Graz (Austria). The summer school took place within the framework of the Erasmus PLUS project «BERNICA» — «Creating Educational and Research Potential in the Field of Nutrition and Dietetics in Central Asia.»

The team from the National Medical University named after Asfendiyarov represented by: Project Coordinator — Professor of the Department of Public Health, Doctor of Medical Sciences Toguzbaeva K.K., Trainer — Assistant Professor of the Biostatistics and Basic Research Methods Department R.A. Khozhamkul, Trainer — Dean of the School of Public Health Karibaev K.B, Trainer — Associate Professor of the Department of Nutrition Beisbekova A.K, Trainer — Chief Specialist of the Department of Science Zhumagaliuly A.

During the summer school, the team from the National Medical University, together with partners from Central Asian universities, began developing educational modules for implementation into the educational process in the directions of «Public Health,» «Medical Prevention,» and «Medicine» across three modules: nutrition in disease, nutrition for the future, and nutrition for special groups.

In conclusion, foundational documents were developed for the further development and implementation of the Erasmus PLUS project, BERNICA.
