The discipline is devoted to the organization of the medical genetic service, the study of the biological (molecular, cytological) basis of human heredity, the molecular mechanisms of mutations, the consideration of general issues of population genetics.

Human cytogenetics and molecular cytogenetics

The discipline is devoted to the study of the chromosomal theory of heredity, etiology and pathogenesis of chromosomal abnormalities in humans, the classification of chromosomal mutations, the modern nomenclature of human chromosomes, classical and molecular cytogenetics methods, phenotypic manifestations of chromosomal mutations, and the main clinical manifestations of chromosomal pathology.

Molecular genetics
